Download Medialink 1.2

Less than a day after the release of Medialink 1.1, version 1.2 has already been made available. The program serves to stream media files from an Apple computer to a Playstation 3. The software uses UPnP for this. Medialink is made by Nullriver, which also made Connect360, a popular program for connecting an Apple to an Xbox 360.

Medialink supports all formats that the Playstation 3 can handle: mp3, wma, wav, mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg4, H.264, avi, wmv, asf, divx, jpeg, gif, png, tiff and bmp. Only drm protected files cannot be handled by the program. MediaLink works with iTunes and also works over a Wi-Fi connection. Mac OS X 10.4 is a requirement. Version 1.2 adds support for aac streaming, according to the changelog:
