Software Update: KProbe 1.1.28

If you own a LiteOn CD or DVD burner and would like to know how your drive is doing, look no further than KProbe. The software contains a large number of tools and tests to gauge performance and provide information about the device. On the CD Freaks forum we find a new version of the program, numbered 1.1.28. Unfortunately, a changelog is not available.

The full install version will also install ASPI on your system, if it does already not exist. Version 4.60 will be installed. It also will place program shortcuts in your programs list and on the desktop, as well as an uninstall link. Simply follow the prompt to install.

For updating a prior version, simply unzip the 2 files in the update version to the directory where you originally installed Kprobe and over-write the 2 existing files with the new ones. You can also use the update version if you do not want the full install, just unzip the 2 files to the directory of your choice and run it from there as a stand-alone program.[break]The new version can be downloaded here.
