SurfRight has released an update for HitmanPro. HitmanPro is not a standard anti-virus program that always runs in the background, but a so-called on-demand scanner and must therefore be run when an infection is suspected. The program can remove viruses, spyware, Trojan horses, rootkits and other forms of malware. By smart scanning and using cloud computing, the software performs a complete scan in often no more than a few minutes.

To remove infections, the program must be activated. The first time a free key can be requested, but after thirty days a new key must be purchased. That key also gives access to HitmanPro.Alert. The following improvements have been made in this release:

• Credentials support to proxy pre-authentication.
• /proxy cred command line switch.
• Dual code signed signatures (Authenticode) on EXE, DLL and SYS files.
• Protection against DLL preloading attacks.

• Raw registry parser.
