Download Hamachi 1.0.0.55 beta
A new beta release of version 1.0 of the program of the same name has been released today via the Hamachi furum. With Hamachi it is possible, as it were, to establish a direct connection with the computer of another Hamachi user, without being hindered by any router, gateway or firewall. Via the established connection it is possible to exchange files and play multiplayer games against each other. All connections between Hamachi clients are secured via a number of protocols. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:
Changes in version 1.0.0.55
- Added support for automatically configuring required port forwarding rules on ‘home routers’ via Universal Plug and Play. This feature is transparent in a sense that it requires no configuration and does not manifest itself in any way other than reduced number of ‘yellow status’ peers.
The feature may be turned off completely by using respective option in Preferences / System.
Note however that Hamachi does not depend on infamous SSDP Windows service and therefore having UPnP feature enable poses *zero* risk to your system. We encourage everyone to keep this feature enabled as it improves overall quality of the communications over Hamachi networks. - Added -no-splash command line option. Hamachi will not show ‘Starting ..’ splash window when it initializes.
- Applied a fix for ‘Sticky Away’ problem
- Applied small fix to the code that is responsible for recoving .ini configuration files after an abrupt computer shutdown (ie crash).
