Fengtao Software has released version 5.0.5.0 of Dvdfab HD Decrypter. With this program, DVD movies can be ripped to the hard drive, removing the protection and region code at the same time. Not only can the program make a complete copy, it is also possible to choose specific parts, for example only the main movie with only a limited number of languages ​​and subtitles. Dvdfab HD Decrypter is the ripping part of Dvdfab Gold and Platinum, paid programs from Fengtao Software, which also copy, convert and burn DVDs. From version 5 onwards, these three programs have been merged and a choice will therefore have to be made every time the program is started. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

• Added DirectShow decoder support for Preview, which means preview can work like real DVD player now.
• For preview, user can enter/exit full screen, and can switch audio while playing.
• Added option “Decoder” in “Settings -> General -> Preview”, user can choose from “Internal” and “DirectShow”.
• Added options “Video Decoder” and “Audio Decoder”, user can choose specific filter from all the installed DirectShow filters.
