Download digiKam 5.0

Version 5.0 of digiKam was released two years after the release of version 4. This program is a photo management and image editing application for KDE and has downloads for Linux, BSD, OS X and Windows. It includes support for various file formats and can also be provided with more options via plug-ins, such as exporting an album to Facebook or Flickr. This version contains a lot of innovations. DigiKam 5.0 has been ported to Qt5 and many APIs have been replaced with new ones. Also, a large part of the code has been rewritten and it can handle multiple cores and threads better. More about these and many other changes can be found in an extensive blog post.

Version 5.0 includes many improvements, thanks in part to contributions from the Google Summer of Code 2015 come.
