Download Dameware NT Utilities 7.5.8.0

Dameware Development has released version 7.5.8.0 of Dameware NT Utilities. The programs are intended for remote management and administration of Windows workstations, servers and domains. The NT Utilities include an extensive Active Directory Object Browser and the programs Mini Remote Control and exporter. The software can be fully tested for 30 days before purchase. The main changes in version 7 are support for ipv6 and nat traversal; there are separate 32 and 64 bit downloads of the Mini Remote Control and the program can be started from an external source, for example a USB stick. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

NT Utilities:

• Updated DNTU icons for Windows 7 & Server 2008.
• Terminal Services Views not available for 2008 Server. Fixed.

Mini Remote Control:

• Minor Protocol Revision. Current v7.x users will not be forced to update the DMRC Client Agent Service on the remote machine, provided they are already running version 7.0 or above. A red warning dialog will be displayed instead. However, we recommend you update the Client Agent on the remote machine as soon as possible. Otherwise, some features may not work properly. Version 6.x Clients will require a forced upgrade.
• Modified Windows Firewall Exception logic. FW exception now created on Service install and removed on Service uninstall (instead of Service Start and Stop).
• Enhancements to Blank Monitor functionality when Logging on/off during a DMRC connection.
• SFT would not work during Reverse Connections. Fixed.
• Some DMRC Advanced Ping Options would not stick after being selected. Fixed.
• Tray icon could reappear (even when configured to hide) for short period of time on Vista after reboot. Fixed.
• File / Install Service and File / Remove Service would not work on Windows 2000. Would receive System Error: 127 ? Module Not found. Fixed.
