Piriform has released a minor update to version 3.0 of CCleaner. This program can clean various aspects of Windows. Think of temporary Windows and Internet files, but also unnecessary junk from a large number of other programs, including Windows Media Player, Google Toolbar, Microsoft Office, Nero, Photoshop, Ad-Aware, WinRAR and so on. In addition, the number of programs that CCleaner can clean up can easily be expanded with the CCEnhancer program. In addition to cleaning, CCleaner can also fix errors in the registry and shortcuts and it is possible to manage cookies.

CCleaner is offered in different variants. The standard version comes with the Google toolbar; so pay close attention to what is checked during the installation. on this page versions without that toolbar and with fewer languages ​​on board can be found, reducing the download size to just over a megabyte. New in version 3.0 include a slightly refreshed look, the ability to really empty the free space on or the entire hard drive. A 64-bit version is now also available. This update fixes an issue with Google Chrome extensions.
