Download BootSkin 1.0 RC2

Stardock has the second release candidate of BootSkin 1.0 released† The program is able to easily change the boot screen of Windows 2000 or Windows XP. The new version is from this server down and has a size of 873KB. The following changes apply to this release:

1.0 RC2

• Added preview for skins
• Added .bsi format for future updates
• Updated installer to get CommonFiles from system variable (for some localized OS installs)
• Updated SmoothMove progress bar movement action (For XP and later. Sorry, 2000 has limitations with regards to updating the progress steps). This should not be an issue with VESA support.
• The 1.0 release will not include the VESA support for larger images and color depths. Expect a beta update to support that in February 2004. Concurrent with that, SkinStudio should include support for creating new bootskins.
