Software Update: AnyDVD 5.2.2.1

In addition to CloneCD, SlySoft has also released a new version of AnyDVD. It concerns version 5.2.2.1 and it is available from here are downloaded. This program runs in the background of the Windows operating system and ensures that DVD movies are automatically decoded. All programs on the computer and the operating system itself will then see the DVD as region-free and unprotected. The following changes have been made in this release:

Changes in AnyDVD 5.2.2.1:

  • New: Added support for a new version of the “Sony ARccOS protection” as found on “Closer” (Italian) to the option to remove “Protection based on unreadable Sectors”
  • New: Improved option “Jump to Main Movie” Works now with several titles, which didn’t work before, eg Coffee and Cigarettes, German.
  • New: Information window now displays status of disabled drives
  • New: Information window now displays status of drives without media
  • New: Settings window can be opened from the information window
  • Change: Click on the AnyDVD tray icon opens the information window instead of the settings window
  • Change: Improved RegAnyDVD.exe
  • Fix: Lockup of Plextor PXW-708A if speed control was enabled and DVD+R media was inserted
  • Fix: Stability problems in certain configurations
  • Fix: Unhandled exception
  • Fix: Keyboard handling didn’t work correctly in the information window
  • Some minor fixes and improvements
  • Updated languages
