Download aMSN Messenger 0.92

Alvaro’s MSN Messenger has been updated to version 0.92. aMSN is a clone of MSN Messenger and is written in Tcl, allowing it to run on a wide range of operating systems. At the moment only the source code and the version for MacOS X available for download, versions for other operating systems will be available later here can be found. The developers had the following to say about this new release:

• Added some options to make the GUI look nicer
• New abstract connection layer. Proxy should work better now, Proxy authentication (user name and password) is now supported, and we can start adding new proxy types.
• Each user can have his personal notification preference in “User properties”
• Now focus in login window (can change box by tab)

For MacOS X:

• Now ask to save the preferences or not when we close the preference (for people with small screen)
• Fix a bug in the preferences about editing custom state
• Now aMSN’s icon can bounce in the dock
• Use Quicktime to play sound
• No more window in bottom right of the screen, at opening
