Software Update: AIMP 4.00 build 1683

An update for version 4.00 of the media player AIMP has been released. This free Russian-made lightweight media player has support for the most popular music formats. The appearance resembles the well-known Winamp and can be adjusted by means of skins. AIMP has an 18-channel equalizer on board and supports plugins. Furthermore, the program can rip CDs, convert music files and edit tags. In version 4.0, AIMP has been given a new look and support for Windows XP has been discontinued. The following improvements have also been made in this update:

  • Skin Engine: waveform navigator – accuracy of analysis has been improved

Fixed:

  • Common – app hangs in some cases on closing, and continuing playback of playlist
  • Player – encoding of online stream in Ukrainian detects incorrectly
  • Player – files from CUE Sheets cannot be send to Tag Editor app
  • Skin Engine – Calculating the waveform for seekbar can be canceled spontaneously in some cases
  • Music Library – RMB at content of the “Labels” column displays common context menu instead of menu for labels
  • Music Library – the “check for new files at application start up” function does not work in some cases
  • Music Library – scrolling via gestures does not work
