Samsung would consider including wireless earphones with every copy of the Galaxy S21, a new rumor has it. It would be the Galaxy Buds Beyond. Until now, manufacturers did not supply wireless earphones with smartphones as standard.

Samsung would like to supply the Buds Beyond as a replacement for the USB-C earphones that are now in the box with its expensive smartphones, TopDaily reports. The site is relatively unknown, so there is no track record of how reliable rumors from this source are. TopDaily is South Korean and a lot of information about Samsung comes from media from the home country of the electronics giant.

Last week it was already rumored that the charger and the USB-C earphones would disappear from the box of Samsung’s next high-end smartphone. That would be in imitation of Apple, which has omitted earphones and the charger from the boxes of its smartphones since this autumn. The intention is to make boxes smaller, so that it costs less money and energy to transport. Not supplying earphones and chargers should also reduce e-waste in the long term.

Samsung would like to present the Galaxy S21 series in January. Samsung does not supply earphones with the Note 20 series in the US. Customers can get them when they contact customer service. Until now, Samsung has always included chargers, but often not the fastest charger the phone can handle. Samsung has not yet responded to the rumor.
