Rumor: Apple will stop responding to customers via social media

Apple would stop responding to customers via X, formerly Twitter, and YouTube, among others. MacRumors claims this based on its own sources. Hundreds of employees are given another job or have to leave.

Apple is now responding via X and YouTube, but also on its own forum. That will stop in October claims MacRumors. The site often has good resources within Apple. Instead of human responses, there will be automated responses with tips and ways to contact Apple.

People who work for Apple to provide those answers can work within the company on telephone customer service. If they don’t want that, they are advised to look for a job outside Apple, the site claims. The transition must be completed in November. Apple has not yet responded to the message.
