OnLeaks has published a render of the Nothing Phone (2a). This phone, unlike previous Nothing phones, doesn’t appear to have LEDs on the back. Nothing previously confirmed the arrival of a Phone (2a), but did not share any images yet.

OnLeaks publishes the render in co-operation with Smartprix. According to the well-known phone leaker, it is an ‘official press render’. The image shows that the device will have a new back. At the top there are two cameras that are placed vertically above each other. Like the previous Nothing phones, the midrange phone has a transparent back that provides a view of the inside of the device.

Unlike the previous Nothing Phone (1) and (2), there appear to be no LEDs on the back of the Phone (2a). Nothing also calls the lighting in its previous devices a ‘Glyph Interface’. For example, this interface can indicate when users have a notification, but it also has other functions. The LEDs can also display, for example, the progress of a timer or the volume level of the phone.

Nothing recently confirmed that it will release a Phone (2a) phone. It must be a midrange smartphone, which is therefore positioned lower than the existing Phone (2). The device will probably be officially unveiled during the Mobile World Congress fair that will take place in Barcelona at the end of February. Photos of the phone also recently emerged, although the design of the Phone (2a) was not clearly visible. It did appear that the smartphone will likely have a 6.7″ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
