The Pixel Remasters of Final Fantasy I to VI will be released on April 19 for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The games feature improved graphics, but the audio has also been overhauled.

In addition, players can still switch from the new soundtrack to the old one, which was very limited in the number of different sounds. Fonts can also be swapped to something that fits better on modern screens, which in this edition of the remasters is new. Furthermore, random encounters can be disabled and the game in general can be sped up by handing out more experience points and with the ‘auto battle’ option.

The Pixel Remasters have already been released in recent years for Windows, Android and iOS. Square Enix has not stated whether the game will also come to other platforms. Prices for the Switch version have been partly announced. Loose costs the first two games 11.99 euros each and the third 17.99 euros. Of the entire bundle the US price of $74.99 has been announced. All in all, the prices seem to be in line with, for example the euro prices on Steam. The well-known Japanese role-playing games were originally released between 1987 and 1994.
