Photos have surfaced online of the Moto Z Play, the third family member of the Moto Z series, which has not yet been officially launched. From the photos it can be concluded that the back is made of glass; on the Moto Z and Z Force, it consists of metal.

Motorola has not made devices with a glass back before, but other manufacturers do. For example, the Samsung Galaxy Note S7 also has a glass back. Except for the different material, the Moto Z play in the photos looks a lot like the previously announced Moto Z models.

The pictures are published by Steve Hemmerstoffer, the man behind the Twitter account OnLeaks, which is known for publishing photos from smartphones early. The Moto Z Play previously appeared at a Chinese inspection body, so that the specifications are largely known. There were also photos to be seen, but they did not yet make it clear that the material on the back is different from the two announced Moto Z devices.

The Moto Z and Z Force were presented in June and are expected in the Benelux in September. It is not yet known when Lenovo will make the arrival of the Moto Z Play official.
