OPPO has released a series of new Reno phones consisting of the Reno7 Pro 5G, Reno 7 5G and Reno7 SE 5G. The Pro variant has an LED strip around the camera island at the back, which functions as a notification LED. The phones will first appear in China.
OPPO announced the Reno7 series at a press conference in China, GSMArena reports. The Reno7 Pro 5G will include a MediaTek ‘Dimensity 1200-Max’ soc, according to a message from the manufacturer on Weibo. That chip is not yet listed on the MediaTek website. The regular Dimensity 1200 is made at 6nm and has a Cortex-A78 core at 3GHz, three A78 cores at 2.6GHz and four A55 cores running at 2GHz. A video from OPPO mentions that the Max variant also has A78 cores and is made on a 6nm process.
The Reno7 Pro 5G also has 8GB or 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage. The battery capacity is 4500mAh and the phone supports 65W fast charging. The 6.55-inch OLED screen has a full-HD resolution, a refresh rate of 90Hz and there is a fingerprint scanner under the display.
The back of the device houses a camera island with a primary 50-megapixel camera, an ultra-wide angle lens and a macro camera with 2-megapixel resolution. The camera island is surrounded by an LED strip, which shows a ‘breathing effect’ when users receive a notification. The phone comes with ColorOS 12. The Reno7 Pro 5G has a suggested retail price in China from 516 euros, including VAT. It is unknown when OPPO will release the phone in other countries. Earlier Reno’s were released in the Benelux.

OPPO also introduces two other Reno7 devices. The Reno7 5G has many of the same specifications of the Pro variant, but includes a smaller 6.43 “OLED screen. The resolution and refresh rate are the same. The 4500mAh battery charges with a power of 60W. The primary The camera is exchanged with a 64-megapixel sensor and the phone has a Snapdragon 778G soc from Qualcomm.OPPO supplies the Reno7 5G with 8GB or 12GB memory and 128GB or 256GB storage.The starting price is converted about 376 euros in China.
The SE variant also gets a MediaTek Dimensity 900 soc and a primary 48-megapixel camera. That camera is assisted by two 2-megapixel sensors, one for macro photos and one that functions as a depth sensor. This device comes with 8GB of memory and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Reno7 SE gets a converted suggested retail price from around 307 euros. Official euro prices for the Reno7 series are not yet known.
