Meta is said to have partnered with LG to create future Quest Pro headsets. A Korean newspaper says that various departments of the manufacturer will produce the parts for Meta’s high-end headset from 2025.

The business newspaper Maeil writes that Meta and LG will work together to make new Quest Pro headsets in the future. This would then concern new glasses and not the further production of the current Quest Pro.

In the collaboration, LG would make most of the components of the glasses. LG Display would make the screens, but that is not the only LG department working on the headset. LG Energy builds the battery and other components are made by LG Innotek. The production of the device would fall under LG Electronics. According to Maeil, that device should be released in 2025 and cost around 2000 dollars or about 1850 euros. That is considerably more expensive than the current Quest Pro, which is now for sale for around 1200 to 1500 euros. The device could possibly be called the Quest 4 Pro.

According to the newspaper, Meta entered into the partnership to compete with Apple, which announced the Vision Pro as a high-end headset earlier this year. In addition to the Quest Pro, Meta is also said to be working on a much cheaper headset. That would be a Quest headset that should also be released next year and, according to the newspaper, will have a price of under 200 dollars. That seems an unbelievable price for such a device and it is not clear on which sources Maeil bases this.
