The AMD Radeon RX 470 was released on Thursday and, according to tradition, the various partners of AMD subsequently announce their versions of the video card. MSI, Gigabyte, Asus, XFX and Sapphire, among others, release models.

The AMD Radeon RX 470 is the smaller brother of the RX 480 and is intended for gaming at a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The review shows that the reference speed card performs 11 percent less than the RX 480, and has a suggested retail price of $20 less. The performance of the overclocked cards with custom coolers will be even closer to that of the RX 480, but the prices might be too.

Several manufacturers are releasing 4GB and 8GB versions. MSI is even introducing two 4GB and two 8GB versions, all of which feature the company’s Twin Frozr VI cooler. The difference between the Gaming and Gaming X models is the clock speed: higher with the Gaming X versions. The Gaming X cards will arrive at the end of this month, and MSI will also release RX 470 cards in the Armor series early next month.
