PUBG Corp. added the ability to play custom matches to the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds test server. It will be free during the test, but the developer says it may cost money later.

On Steam, the developer of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds announces that creating custom matches is now possible on the test server, saying that it will be extremely resource-intensive to make it available to all players. To make sure it works properly and the systems remain stable, the developer is considering asking for money. The developer says he is open to feedback and will come up with more details about ‘that aspect of the system’ at a later date.

During the open beta, making custom matches is limited to ten thousand matches at a time. According to the developer, the servers can become unstable if there is too much demand for making custom matches. Once the first trial on the test server is completed, PUBG Corp. extend the test to the live servers.

Being able to make custom matches is a feature that has been requested by PUBG players for a long time. It allows players to play pots with modified rules; According to the creators, every aspect of the game can be customized, including the behavior of the circle and the spawning of items and vehicles.
