LG shows its upcoming smartphone in a video. It concerns the LG Velvet, of which the company previously showed design sketches. Renders can now be seen and the manufacturer indicates that there will be a Snapdragon 765-soc in the device.

LG shows in a short YouTube video renders of the device based on the design sketches that were released earlier in April. The device has three cameras on the back, which are placed under each other from large to small. LG refers to raindrops. The phone has rounded corners and rounded screen edges. The screen has a small, teardrop-shaped notch for the front camera. At the bottom is a 3.5mm jack.

LG also shows with the video that the Velvet gets a Snapdragon 765-soc. Qualcomm introduced that soc late last year. It is the first soc to have an integrated 5g modem that supports both frequencies below 6GHz and mmwave frequencies. The octacore soc is made at 7nm. It has two cores based on the ARM Cortex-A76 design and six Cortex-A55 cores.

Other specifications of the LG Velvet smartphone have not yet been announced. It is also not yet clear when the device will be released. According to rumors, LG will reveal all the details about the new phone on May 15.
