Iran is testing a new type of drone designed to fly into its target. This so-called self-destruct drone is seen by the Islamic country as a mobile bomb. Many countries are investing in the drone as a weapon.

The Iranian military has indicated that the unmanned aircraft carries bombs and can drill into targets on land, sea and in the air. Tests with the drone are being conducted as part of a large-scale military exercise in the Strait of Hormuz, near the Persian Gulf, the AP news agency reported.

Although Iran gave little information about the specifications of the so-called self-destruct drone, it seems to be small planes. Probably the small size should make the drones more difficult to shoot from the sky.

Like many other countries, Iran has been developing military drones for some time now. One of the models can fly for 24 hours and can cover a distance of 1,700 kilometers.
