An image has been put online of an Oculus Quest headset with a slightly different design than the existing version. The new model is white and appears to be a bit more compact. The interpupillary distance slider may be missing.

The render shows a white Oculus Quest. The new model seems to be a little less deep and therefore it could also be lighter. Earlier there were rumors about a renewed Quest that is thinner and lighter than the current version of the standalone VR headset.

The current Oculus Quest has a slider at the bottom of the headset to adjust the interpupillary distance. It seems to be missing on the new model, although it is also possible that it has been moved to the top, which is not visible. Oculus previously omitted the ipd slider from the Rift S.

The cameras on the top have a slightly different position from the current version. They are placed further down and seem to look a little more to the side. That could increase the wiggle room for hand and controller tracking.

The image has been put on Twitter by WalkingCat, a user who more often reveals details about products not yet announced. Details about the hardware of the new Quest are not yet available. The current model features a Snapdragon 835 soc and 72Hz displays. According to previous rumors, Oculus is testing 90Hz and 120Hz screens for a successor.
