Bang & Olufsen has partnered with HP to combine the Bang & Olufsen and B&O Play brands with HP products such as PCs, tablets, laptops and accessories. Previously, HP partnered with Beats.

Bang & Olufsen hopes to bring its “iconic sound” to HP PCs, said audio company CEO Tue Mantoni. The manufacturers say they will fine-tune the sound for any new B&O Play or Bang & Olufsen branded laptop, tablet or other accessory.

A special ‘audio island’ should isolate all sensitive audio-related circuitry from other signals on the motherboard. The headphone jack would contain as few metal parts as possible, to reduce the chance of interference. In addition to the hardware adjustments, devices with B&O Play will also have a separate audio control panel, including presets, the manufacturers say.

The first HP systems with Bang & Olufsen and B&O Play will hit stores this spring. It concerns the following series of HP: Specter, Omen, Envy, Pavilion PCs, tablets and PC audio accessories.
