HMD introduces Nokia 5.4 smartphone with Snapdragon 662 soc for 199 euros

HMD Global introduces its Nokia 5.4 smartphone. This device includes a Snapdragon 662-soc and 4GB memory. HMD equips the Nokia 5.4 with a 6.39 “LCD with an HD + resolution and a relative screen ratio of 19.5: 9. The manufacturer does not mention a specific screen resolution in its press release, but the current Nokia 5.3, for example, has a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. for 4G connectivity.

The back of the device houses a fingerprint scanner and four camera sensors that are placed in a circular camera island. The Nokia 5.4 features a primary 48-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel camera with wide-angle lens, a sensor for macro photos and a depth sensor. The selfie camera is incorporated in a hole in the screen.

The Nokia 5.4 comes with 4GB memory and 64GB or 128GB storage capacity. The smartphone also offers space for a Micro-SD card and two SIM cards. The 4000mAh battery is charged with up to 10W via USB-C. The device also has a 3.5mm jack.

The Nokia 5.4 comes standard with Android 10. HMD writes, however, that the device will be upgraded to Android 11 at a later time. The smartphone is part of the Android One program and will receive three years of security updates and, in time, an upgrade to Android 12.

The device has a starting price of 199 euros for a variant with 64GB storage space. A model with 128GB of storage for 249 euros will follow at the end of January. The latter variant comes with Nokia headphones.
