Ukrainian game developer GSC Game World has postponed Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl again. The game should now be released sometime in the first quarter of 2024. Stalker 2 was originally supposed to be released in April 2022.

GSC Game World made no announcement about Stalker 2’s delay, but in one released during gamescom fact sheet and the trailer below shows the new release period of Q1 2024. So no reason is given for delaying the release date, although the invasion of Ukraine by Russia probably has something to do with this.

Stalker 2, stylized as STALKER 2, was originally supposed to be released in early 2022, but was initially delayed until the end of that year because the Ukrainian developer needed more time. After the war in question broke out, development was temporarily halted and later the game was further postponed to 2023. In addition to the physical inconvenience the company experiences due to the war, GSC is also said to be a digital victim of Russian aggressors.
