Firmware Update: Nikon Coolpix S60 1.1

Nikon has for its Coolpix S60 digital compact cameras released new firmware with 1.1 as the version number. These cameras have a 1/2.3″ CCD image sensor with 10.0 megapixels on board and the built-in lens has a range of 33-165mm, bringing the optical zoom to 5x. The list of changes for this update sees looks like this:

Version 1.1:

• The speed at which the displayed image changes as it is dragged in full-frame playback has been increased.
• The method used to enable playback zoom (magnified view) in full-frame playback has been changed.
• After the HD Pictmotion function is used, the sound does not start immediately when a movie is played. This problem has now been resolved.
