Download Firmware iRiver iMP-550 1.50 beta

iRiver, producer of now well-known music players, has released a new version of the firmware for one of its most popular models, the iMP-550. The release is a beta and numbered 1.50. The big change we find is the addition of support for the OGG Vorbis format:

• This is Beta firmware for iMP-550(Language and FM frequency is set to European Region.)

New Features
1. Support OGG Vorbis format

• The OGG Vorbis format provides a greater sound quality than the MP3 files. This version is capable of playing the OGG Vorbis format files with a bit rate from 96 ~ 256Kbps(average).

Fixed Bugs
1. Fixed the bug that some files on PLAYLIST are not recognized.
2. Fixed the volume difference when the setting is changed from EQ to 3D, vice versa.[break]The EU version of the beta firmware is here pick up.
