Download Firmware Epox 8K9A / 8K9AI 3407

Epox has released a new BIOS for its 8K9A and 8K9AI motherboards. The version numbering is unfortunately a bit unclear, but what we were able to quickly find is the version number 3407. The changelog reports the following points:

Updates in this version:

• Solved DRAM timing issue
• Updated Source code for correct CPU detection
• Added Bus parking item to support bus parking function
• Solved ATI 7500 compatibility issues installing WinXP/2K
• Solved system hangs during POST after rebooting attempt to OC
• Removed “on” value on Record_PWRON_item
• Update Award source code.

• Solved system crash when FAN speed to slow
• Only show AGP mode when AGP 8X card is used
• Added AGP calibration item
• Changed string for detecting K7 CPU
• Added code for detecting Athlon model Barton
