Firmware Update: Draytek Vigor 2820/n/Vn 3.3.1.2

Draytek has for his Vigor 2820-, Vigor 2820n and Vigor 2820vn routers released new firmware with 3.3.1.2 as the version number. These routers are suitable for passing ADSL2, ADSL2+, cable and VoIP connections. The list of changes includes improvements for voip and 3g, and looks like this:

  • VOIP:
    • Add protect function for sending caller-ID with DTMF type for the character used is non-standard
    • Add protection for SIP parser to prevent malicious UDP 5060 port attack
    • Add an enable/disable check box in VOIP regional
    • Add a telnet cmd “dtmftonepwr” for adjusting the power level of the DTMF tone sending PSTN switch
    • Support “ALL” interface in call barring
    • Support call pickup (when act as a caller)
    • Improved: Danube DSP FXS on/offhook detection by using MPS driver
    • Improved: Stability for FXO Port or PSTN Port ring detection
    • Corrected: wrong RFC-2833 packet was sent out
    • Corrected: SIP SUBSCRIBE message missing “Contact” header
    • Corrected: VoIP cannot change codec (driver layer)
    • Corrected: when a phone call is rejected (486 message), it still plays ring back tone
    • Corrected: DND exception list malfunctioning
    • Improved: SIP/SDP parser to handle complicated SDP content.

  • 3G:
    • Improved: 3G reconnect stability, backup mode
    • Corrected: unable to fetch 3G signal strength response
    • Support SonyEricsson MD300 modem. Skip CSQ signal check
    • Support Sierra 885/888 modem, DET-US3G5 modem, Cmotech D-50, and D-Link DWM-652 modem
  • wireless:
    • Set WPS client’s default MAC address as 00-00-00-00-00-00 to avoid WUI display error
    • Fixed: Problem that wireless clients are unable to get IP address from DHCP
  • Other:
    • Corrected: IM-P2P can not block Vagaa application
    • Corrected: WAN2 status not compatible with syslog utility 4.X
    • Corrected: DDNS use WAN2 first fail.
    • Corrected: syslog can’t sent out via VPN tunnel
    • Corrected: ways of handling DNS port reply packet (a non DNS answer packet)
    • Corrected: IM-P2P mail alert malfunctions
    • Improved: VPN mechanism to avoid sending unnecessary DPD echo/reply
    • Improved: FTP server (active mode upload)
    • Improved: NAT loop back for SSH and FTP service
    • Improved: handle protocol equal to zero packets
