Canon has for its EOS-500DSLR cameras released new firmware with 1.1.0 as the version number. These cameras have a 15.1-megapixel CMOS image sensor and a Digic 4 image processor on board, whereby the lenses can of course be changed. The list of changes doesn’t show any shocking changes, so it fixes a possible problem with Live View and the indications have been cleaned up a bit:

The following fixes and improvements have been incorporated:

• Enhances the reliability of Live View shooting
  This firmware corrects a phenomenon that may occur intermittently when Live View shooting is activated and the mirror does not position itself properly. As a result, the Live View image does not appear on the LCD monitor.
• Fixes incorrect indications on the Arabic, English, and Swedish menu screens
