Download Firmware Canon EOS-1D Mark IV 1.0.6

Canon has for its EOS-1D Mark IVSLR cameras released new firmware with 1.0.6 as the version number. These cameras have a 16.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and two Digic 4 image processors on board. The 1D Mark IV has, among other things, a much improved autofocus system, which, however, was apparently not yet perfect – the list of changes for this firmware looks like this:

The following enhancement has been incorporated.

• Firmware Version 1.0.6 enhances the AF tracking performance.*

* AF performance has been enhances for receding subjects and for subjects that are approaching at a low speed.
