Firmware update: Apple iOS 16.5

Apple has version 16.5 of iOS released. From version 13, iOS is only suitable for the iPhone and the iPads have been given their own OS, the main difference being the extra options to use the larger screen. In iOS 16, which is suitable for the iPhone 8 and later, we find, among other things, a new lock screen with widgets. Furthermore, messages can be edited up to fifteen minutes after sending, tabs in Safari can be shared with others and routes can be planned with multiple stops. This update contains the following improvements and bug fixes:

• A new ‘Pride Celebration’ wallpaper for the home screen celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and culture
• Fixed an issue where Spotlight could become unresponsive
• Fixed an issue where Podcasts in CarPlay might not load content
• Fixed an issue where Screen Time settings might be reset or not sync across all devices
