Dying Light requires at least GTX 670 or Radeon HD 7870
Techland has provided more clarity about the system requirements of the survival horror game Dying Light. The game needs at least a GeForce GTX 670 or an AMD Radeon HD 7870 in combination with at least 8GB of RAM.
The developer has disclosed the system requirements on the game’s Steam page. Dying Light requires at least an Intel Core i5-2500 clocked at 3.3GHz or an AMD FX-8320 at 3.5GHz. Techland claims that as far as video card is concerned, at least a GeForce GTX 670 or a Radeon HD 7870 is necessary. There is an additional 40GB of storage memory and 8GB of RAM is required.
However, the recommended system requirements go one step further. Techland advises gamers to use an Intel Core i5-4670K at 3.4GHz or an AMD FX-8350 at 4GHz. The developer recommends a GeForce GTX 780 or a Radeon R9 290 for the graphical calculations. The required working memory is also higher with 16GB in the recommended system requirements.
The operating system, on the other hand, does not change. At a minimum, the 64bit version of Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 is required. The required storage memory of 40GB also logically remains the same.
In September, lighter system requirements were discussed, but Techland has come back to that. The survival horror game will be released on January 30, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The developer recently dropped the version for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
