Driver Update: Nvidia Vulkan Driver 419.34 / 418.42.02 Beta

Nvidia has released a new beta version of its Vulkan drivers with 419.34 as the version number for Windows and 418.42.02 as the version number for Linux. These drivers support the Turing, Volta, Quadro, GeForce, GeForce 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1000 series video cards and add support for extended Vulkan functionality. Therefore, these drivers are mainly aimed at developers of applications that use Vulkan. The brief list of changes looks like this:

Windows 419.34, Linux 418.42.02

Fixes:

  • Fixes intermittent crash on startup with some content on Windows
  • Fixed a bug which could cause the compiler to crash in some Vulkan games

Windows 419.09, Linux 418.31.03

New Extensions:

  • VK_NV_cooperative_matrix
  • VK_EXT_depth_clip_enable

Fixes:

  • Hitman 2 visual corruption on Linux when running with dxvk translation
  • Total War Warhammer II crash or hang when using Alt-Tab on Linux

Windows 417.63, Linux 415.22.05

New Extensions:

  • VK_KHR_depth_stencil_resolve
  • VK_EXT_buffer_device_address
  • VK_EXT_memory_budget
  • VK_EXT_memory_priority (Windows only)
  • VK_EXT_pci_bus_info

Improvements:

  • Better pipeline creation performance when there is a cache hit
