Driver Update: Nvidia GeForce/ION 195.39 Beta

Nvidia developers have released a new beta version of their GeForce/ION drivers, identified by version number 195.39. These drivers support video cards with a GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100 and 200 series GPU or an ION GPU, in combination with Windows XP, Vista or 7, in both 32bit and 64bit performances. The list of changes looks like this:

New in Version 195.39

  • Adds support for OpenCL 1.0 (Open Computing Language) for all GeForce 8-series and later GPUs.
  • Adds support for CUDA Toolkit 3.0 features and performance enhancements. See CUDA Zone for more details.
  • Adds SLI and multi-GPU support for Borderlands, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, G-Force, FIFA Soccer 2010, League of Legends: Clash of Fates, NHL 2009, Order of War, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, Race On, Star Trek : DAC. Improved SLI and multi-GPU support for Champions: Online and Dragon Age: Origins.
  • Includes over 200 bug fixes. Refer to the release notes on the documentation tab for information about the key bug fixes in this release.

  • Override AA for application profiles is not applied.[606725]
  • After installing the driver, sometimes there is no NVIDIA Control Panel installed. [589854]
  • GeForce 200 Series, GeForce 9800 GX2: Changes to the NVIDIA Control Panel->Manage 3D Settings-> Override Antialiasing control do not get applied when playing most DirectX 9 games in windowed mode. [555282]
  • GeForce 9800 GTX: On the NVIDIA Control Panel Adjust desktop size and position page, the Resize desktop option does not appear for HD or SD resolutions. [595062]
  • GeForce 9800 GTX: Far Cry 2–with the in-game resolution set to 1920×1200 and antialiasing set to 2x or higher, there is corruption when looking up at the sky. [555163]

Multi-GPU Resolved Issues

  • [Quad‐SLI], GeForce GTX 295: CUDA Post‐Process in OpenGL–SLI antialiasing values ​​remain on the desktop even after closing the application. [581588]
  • [SLI], GeForce GTX 280: After applying an HD or SD resolution, the selection on the NVIDIA Control Panel‐>Change Resolution page switches to the corresponding PC resolution instead. [598455]

  • GeForce 9800 GTX: There is no balloon notification–such as ʺDisplay configuration has changedʺ–when rebooting the system after first installing the driver. [588694]
  • ION: It takes 50‐60 seconds to switch to Dualview or Clone mode using the NVIDIA Control Panel. [596108]
