The folks at kX Project have released a new version of kX Audio Drivers. These drivers are intended for Creative Labs and E-mu Systems sound cards that include an EMU10K1 or EMU10K2 chip. on this page lists all supported cards. In the new 5.10.0.3536 release, the 3d sound has been improved and new DSP effects have been added. A drawback of the kX drivers is the incompatibility with HyperThreaded and SMP computers. the complete changelog looks like this:
