Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Phantom Liberty has sold 4.3 million copies

The Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Phantom Liberty has sold 4.3 million copies. Developer CD Project RED reports this in its quarterly figures. At the beginning of October, the company said that the expansion had been sold 3 million times. Most of the staff is now working on the next Witcher game.

CD Projekt RED released the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC at the end of September. About a third of the staff is still working on Cyberpunk 2077 and the DLC, but the studio indicates that this number will decrease in the future. Most CD Projekt RED developers are now working on the next Witcher game; almost half of the employees are now working on this. Now around 330 developers are working on the next Witcher game, this is expected to grow to over 400 by the middle of next year.

Due to the success of Phantom Liberty and relatively high sales figures of the base game, and many games sold via online store GOG.com, the third quarter of 2023 was CD Projekt Group’s best third quarter ever. The turnover was more than 102 million euros, the net profit was almost 47 million euros. That net profit is double compared to a year earlier.
