Crucial introduces external SSD X10 Pro with read speeds of up to 2100MB/s
Micron has released its fastest external SSD yet with the Crucial X10 Pro. The SSD can read up to 2100MB/s, write at a maximum of 2000MB/s. In addition, the company has released the X9 Pro, which is cheaper but reads and writes slower.
Both SSDs have TLC NAND memory from Micron, come in capacities of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB, have IP55 certifications and have a USB-C connection. The X10 Pro supports USB 3.2 Gen2 up to 20Gbit/s, measures 65mmx50mm and costs 143.90 euros for the 1TB version. The 2TB version costs 232.46 euros and the 4TB version has a suggested retail price of 375.14 euros.
The X9 Pro supports sequential read and write speeds up to 1050MB/s. This drive supports USB 3.2 Gen2 up to 10Gbit/s. This SSD has the same dimensions as the X10 Pro. The X9 Pro costs €99.62 for the 1TB version, €177.11 for the 2TB variant and €321.02 for the 4TB version. Micron says both SSDs are available immediately.
