Following a host of other manufacturers, Cooler Master, Cryorig and Phanteks have now also announced upgrade kits that will fit their existing processor coolers onto AMD’s future AM4 socket. The kits can be requested free of charge.

Cooler Master has indicated that the latest versions of all coolers currently sold have support for AMD’s new socket. If the user has a model from an older batch where support was not yet built in, they can request a free upgrade kit from Cooler Master.

Phanteks and Cryorig also offer free upgrade kits for coolers that do not support AM4. Users who have coolers from those manufacturers can request the upgrade kits from the customer support of the respective manufacturers. To request the kits, the customer must be able to provide proof of purchase of the cooler and an AMD Ryzen processor or AM4 motherboard.

Other manufacturers had also previously announced free upgrade kits. Be quiet was the first to announce the announcement, followed by other major companies such as Corsair, Arctic and Noctua.
