Blizzard is polling interest in microtransactions among StarCraft II users, according to some redditors. Among other things, the studio would like to know whether and if so how much gamers are willing to pay for emojis, skins and votes for announcers.

Multiple Reddit users are publishing Blizzard’s microtransactions questionnaire, even though the company insists not sharing it with others. Blizzard asks, among other things, whether the participants in the survey are inclined to pay $2.49 for a set of ten chat emoticons.

In addition, Blizzard is considering selling skins for units in the strategy game, which opponents will also see in multiplayer matches. In the questionnaire, the company shows Stalkers with a different appearance, in which different participants were shown different skins, and asked whether they would purchase them for a price of $1.99 or $3.99.

Finally, Blizzard wants to know if users are interested in different voices from the in-game announcers in the multiplayer. The list of voices includes Morgan Freeman and Snoop Dogg, but also StarCraft figures such as Raynor, Swann and Alarak.

StarCraft II got its first paid DLC this year in the form of the Nova Covert Ops mission packs. In addition, the company is probably working on polished versions of the original StarCraft games.
