The studio needs to become more agile and that is why the layoffs are necessary, says Bioware. The studio has several hundred employees, fifty of whom will now have to leave. Many of the employees may be able to work at other EA studios, Bioware says.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been in development for years, but does not yet have a release date. The first teaser is from 2018. Dreadwolf is the first major game in the Dragon Age franchise since Inquisition from 2014. Bioware is also working on the next Mass Effect game.
