BeReal gets video and groups in which administrators can force notifications

Photo sharing app BeReal will have a function to create groups. The administrator can trigger a notification that it is time for everyone in the group to take a photo. Until now, BeReal only did that itself. There will also be support for short videos.

Users can be in a maximum of two groups, reports BeReal. In addition, there is a group chat function in the app for exchanging messages between members of the group. BeReal does not state the maximum number of members a group can have. RealGroups will be available to all users this week.

There will also be the option to record a short video with the photo. The opt-in feature is called Behind The Scenes and shows a few seconds of video before the user takes a photo. Users who want to see a video must long-press on the photo to play it. Behind the Scenes will be available this week on iOS and next week on Android.
