Be quiet announces the Silent Wing 4 and Silent Wing 4 Pro. Among other things, the manufacturer has increased the rpm speed compared to the Silent Wing 3 predecessors. Both models appear in 120mm and 140mm variants.

Be quiet reports that the tip clearance, the distance between the tips of the blades and the frame, has been reduced to obtain better airflow. Where the tip clearance on the Silent Wing 3 was 1.2mm, it has been reduced to 1mm on the 4 and Pro 4. The frame has also been made rounder for better airflow. The manufacturer has kept the motor and fluid-dynamic bearings of the predecessor.

The Silent Wing 4 will be available in 120mm and 140mm variants with and without PWM support. with the 120mm pwm high speed variant rotating at 2500rpm for example. The Silent Wing Pro 4 has a slider in the middle to set the maximum rpm. For example, the Silent Wing Pro 4 rotates on the medium setting at 1600rpm and on ultra-high-speed at 3000rpm. The manufacturer also supplies the Pro with cables with a higher quality sleeve.

Be quiet supplies the fans with different mounting angles, optimized for pushpins and screws. In addition, the Pro has mounting angles designed for use on radiators.

The fans will be available on the market on 19 July. The Silent Wing 4 140mm variants then cost 24.90 euros, the 120mm versions 23.90 euros. The Silent Wing Pro 4 140mm has a suggested retail price of EUR 32.90 and the Pro 4 120mm is one euro cheaper.
