Baseball game MLB The Show is coming to other consoles for the first time

The franchise MLB The Show is coming to other console platforms in addition to the PlayStation. That will not happen until 2021 at the earliest. It is not yet known which platforms these are. The game series has been an exclusive to the Sony platform since the beginning of its life, in 1997.

The announcement of the platforms on which the game will be released will follow “at a later date,” the developers say. Since the text talks about multiple console platforms, it is likely that it concerns the two biggest players next to Sony: Nintendo with the Switch, and Microsoft with the Xbox One.

MLB The Show, whose newest title is simply called MLB The Show 19, primarily competes with RBI Baseball. That game is available for all three major console platforms. There is also Out Of The Park Baseball, for Windows, macOS and Linux. This one also has an official MLB license, but this game highlights the management side more than the actual sport.
