Awesome Games Done Quick raises nearly $2.4 million

The multi-day speed running marathon Awesome Games Done Quick has raised a total of $2.39 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. This broke last year’s record.

The organization of Awesome Games Done Quick made the final total amount of 2,394,668 dollars collected on Sunday known. The $2 million mark was broken on Saturday during a Super Mario Odyssey speed run. The money will benefit the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a foundation that is committed to cancer prevention.

A total of 46,386 donors contributed to the record amount. The largest amount donated is $217,000. That is from the organization itself and probably a total amount raised via Twitch. The next largest amount is $154,850 raised by a group. On average, $51.71 has been given for the initiative.

The total amount broke last year’s record of 2.2 million dollars. Awesome Games Done Quick is an annual speedrunning event where, together with Summer Games Done Quick, money is raised for charities.
