Apex Legends Mobile is now available and includes exclusive mode and character
Apex Legends Mobile is out today for iOS and Android. The mobile variant is separate from the PC and console game and will have its own team deathmatch mode upon release. In addition, the game will have an exclusive character.
Apex Legends Mobile has been available since May 17 and contains a mode which is not present in the console or PC version of the game. It is a team deathmatch mode, which alternates between five different levels. Players of Apex Legends on PC or console will find the locations familiar as they are based on locations from the original game. These are: Market, Artillery, Overflow, Thermal Station and Skull Town.
In the earlier announcement trailer, Respawn Entertainment only showed characters that were also present at the release of the original game. The characters later added to the game on PC and console were not shown. Now it appears that Apex Legends Mobile will get an extra character at release: Fade. This character is only playable in the mobile version of Apex Legends and thus will not be coming to the game on PC and consoles.
The game is only playable with touch controls, showing the main buttons on the screen. Apex Legends Mobile is separate from the original game and will have its own events and seasons in addition to the unique team deathmatch mode. It is unknown if there will be any more exclusive characters coming to Apex Legends Mobile besides Fade. Also, Respawn Entertainment has not revealed which additional characters from Apex Legends we can expect in the mobile version of the game at a later stage.
Your smartphone may not support the game. Respawn Entertainment previously announced the system requirements for the game. On Android, that’s a Snapdragon 435, Hisilicon Kirin 650, Mediatek Helio P20 or Exynos 7420 soc. In addition, the smartphone must also run on Android 6.0 or higher and support Open GL 3.1. Apple users are required to own an iPhone 6S or newer model. This device must have iOS 11 or later installed. For both the iOS and Android versions, the game requires 4GB of storage space and has at least 2GB of RAM.
