German site: Moto E4 Plus smartphone has 5000mAh battery
A German site has published the price and specs of what would be the next generation of Moto E smartphones. The series consists of two models, with a 5″ screen and a 5.5″ screen. The large version would have a 5000mAh battery.
The smaller variant would have a 2800mAh battery, WinFuture reports. It could well be that the large model has a 5000mAh battery, because manufacturer Lenovo has often put such large batteries in smartphones. The most recent is the Lenovo P2, with the Chinese smartphone maker claiming that the capacity is 5100mAh.
The large battery does have an impact on the dimensions of the device. The phone is 9.5mm thick and weighs 198 grams. The site states 72.3mm for the width, but that seems to be a mistake. Although it is possible with thin screen edges that the device has that width, it corresponds exactly to the stated width of the small Moto E4. In addition, Lenovo has not used thin screen edges on any model to date.
The devices both have MediaTek MT6737M, a soc with four Cortex A53 processor cores at 1.3GHz and a Mali T720MP2 GPU from ARM. The small variant has lpddr3 memory of 2GB, the large one has 3GB. The expandable emmc storage is 16GB in both cases.
The small has a 5″ LCD with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, the size has a 5.5″ LCD with the same resolution. The 5″ variant should cost around 150 euros, for the large Lenovo would ask 190 euros. When the phones should be released, WinFuture does not know.
WinFuture has shown in the past to have good resources within Lenovo and much of the information the site published turned out to be correct.
