A prototype of a pair of glasses is mentioned in an Apple report on accidents inside the company’s offices. A user who tested the glasses had trouble with her eyes and said she could see a laser flash. It may be augmented reality glasses.

The details are in a report accidentally sent to several hundred Apple employees and owned by Gizmodo. That website has not put the entire report online, but cites a number of incidents, including the incident with the glasses.

According to the report, the woman who suffered from eye problems was referred to an optometrist by using the glasses, and Apple has secured the prototype for further investigation. In another incident, an employee complained of eye pain after working with a ‘new prototype’.

There are few technical details, but the information seems to indicate that these are glasses that, like the Google Glass, project information into the eye of the user. The incidents took place on February 21 and March 2, indicating that the prototypes were recently tested.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has previously indicated that he sees a future in augmented reality. In November last year, a rumor appeared that Apple would be working on AR glasses that can be wirelessly connected to an iPhone. In January, a blogger stated that Apple is working with Zeiss on a Google Glass competitor and that those glasses will be released this year.
